Things I wish I knew before I tried it
A charming gem steps from the Ponte Vecchio with a picturesque rooftop restaurant boasting amazing views! Staff are cute, but breakfast lacks variety. Blissful location offsets some quirks! Worth the experience!

The rooms are airy and new-fashioned here with a shower as well as updated bathrooms. The restaurant food is great, and the breakfast offered is perfect with rolls and cappuccino served on order🙂

The location was ideal, close to everything we wanted to see, plus bars and restaurants. The room was large and the breakfast room and rooftop terrace were wonderful. Overall a very pleasant stay for a 3-star hotel.
There was a slight problem with the airconditioning but only on our last night. The front office staff were a little cool but otherwise polite and professional.

The unexpected rooftop surprise
Every morning began at the rooftop terrace with nice views of the city as I enjoyed my coffee. The room provided the comfort I sought after a long day of exploring.
The last night's false fire alarm left us all a bit rattled and sleep-deprived.

Location was good for access to the core of the old part of Florence. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was respectable and the roof top garden/patio was nice (watch out for the pigeons... They like to steal food).
I think it may have been a little over priced but I did not take the time to research other sites. Beware- a superior room means there are jets in the tub.. It has nothing to do with the view so if you would like to get a room with a view of the river(and/or the bridge), make sure you specify it. The bath was upgraded but while the shower stall (part of the tub) was modern, it was not very functional in regards to room to move once the door was closed. The courtyard view is actually (now) more of a small parking lot. I am sure at one time, maybe 50 plus years ago, it was more of a courtyard.

First class all the way. This is the place stay in Florence. Breakfast is included and is absolutely wonderful. Would recommend without hesitation.

The Hermitage offers an excellent location just steps from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery. The rooftop terrace provides a charming spot for breakfast with a lovely view of the city. The room was clean, with a spacious bathroom equipped with a full-size bath and Jacuzzi.

Perfect location, beautiful rooms, helpful staff, gorgeous common areas.
Avoid if you are mobility-impared; many stairs, and a very small lift.

Rooftop terrace provides fine views of Florence.
The shower screen in our room was cheap and mouldy, unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber.

I truly enjoyed my stay... This is a quaint little gem in a great location. It has a beautiful terrace on the roof with a lovely view of the Ponte Vecchio on one side and the Duomo on the other. The staff was not just accommodating but very sweet and polite.
My only complaint was noise... One morning there began some kind of construction in the lane below my 1st floor window at 06:30. It only went on for about an hour, but why 06:30?

Had an awesome stay with a perfect view over the river and a cozy lounge on the fifth floor where we enjoyed drinks. The rooftop terrace was fantastic for unwinding after a busy day and the breakfast was really good. One small thing was that the rooms could have used a little more space, but it didn't spoil our overall experience at all 😊

Hotel Hermitage is a little gem facing Arno River and Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is accessed by a steps and elevator reaches to 5th floor where the reception is located. Attention was given to small details (ambiance, home spray, delicate lightning project, authentic Tuscany furniture, nice wall treatments and more importantly a very profession staff highly prepared to answer your questions, provide input to your demands and to call you by your name. The living room opposite to reception is a poupourri what is Florence and what is life in Tuscany: solid wood furniture beautifully aged, brass ornaments, exquisite upholstery and curtains in silk and cotton in flowery pattern, apple green walls and a charm that is difficult to explain in words. My single bedroom was ok, the mattress could be softer and the view from window was terrific Ponte Vecchio and Arno river. Breakasft was all about coziness and fresh food served at the rooftop terrace by a super gentile maid/housekeeper from the Phillipines (very polite, very courteous)
Mattress could be better
